COSTCO SOLD $9.99 CROISSANT DONUTS THAT SPLIT SHOPPERS
Costco mini croissant donuts, a croissant-donut mashup in a $9.99 box, left shoppers split between “so good” and “extremely stale.”
The pastries are sold as CT Bakery Mini Croissant Donuts, and the New York Post reported that Canadian bakery CT Bakery makes them. They were turning up in Costco stores on July 6, 2026, at $9.99 for a box of 20, half glazed and half cinnamon sugar.
Costco-focused Instagram accounts helped spread the word. In a post, @costcobuys called the pastries “everything we never knew we needed” and “a crossover between a croissant and a donut that we are completely obsessed with,” SheFinds reported.
CT Bakery began as a small Canadian donut shop and later supplied specialty donuts internationally, Yahoo Lifestyle reported.
The Cronut comparison
The Post compared the Costco box with the original Cronut, which Dominique Ansel invented in 2013.
The Post called the original flaky and cream-filled, said it takes three days to prepare, and said production was limited to several hundred a day.
What shoppers said
Fans were quick to sign up. One said, “These look so good! Can’t wait to try.” Another said, “Definitely adding this to my cart!”
Reviews got more mixed once people bit in. One customer called the pastries “so good,” while another called them “extremely stale.”
A customer complained that the glazed version was “very wet.” Another said the cinnamon-sugar ones “get very dry” and called it “a one-and-only try.”
Not everyone was unhappy. “Bought them today [in] Plain city Ohio. They are awesome,” a commenter wrote under the @costcobuys post.
Where to find them
Finding a box depended on the warehouse. Parade reported that 144 Costco warehouses were stocking the pastries, with sightings on the East Coast and in the Midwest.
“I can never find any of these things at my local Costco,” one shopper said. Some others also said they could not find the pastries at their local stores.
USA Today reported that price and availability may vary by market and that a nationwide rollout was unclear. Costco had not immediately responded to its request for information.
UnoTV reported that prices ran higher than $9.99 in some locations. The Post advised shoppers to check Costco’s website for local stock.
Costco has also been rolling out treats like an apple pie sundae at its food courts.

Good Housekeeping reported on October 12, 2026 that availability varied by store and that Costco had not said how long it would sell the pastries.
