MCDONALD’S IS SELLING A QUARTER POUNDER MEAL FOR $8
McDonald’s is selling a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, with medium fries and a drink, for $8 at participating U.S. restaurants starting November 2, 2026. The burger is the one Tasting Table ranked as McDonald’s best in 2025, according to SILive, so the chain is discounting its own reigning champion.
The deal is limited-time. Dexerto reports the regular price of the meal runs more than $11 depending on location.

On McDonald’s U.S. deals page, the meal is listed with a Coke and medium fries. The page says the offer is available in the app and is not valid for delivery. McDonald’s also says prices and participation vary by restaurant.
As for the burger, it is a quarter pound of 100% fresh beef, cooked to order, with slivered onions, tangy pickles and two slices of American cheese on a sesame seed bun. McDonald’s says the patty weighs 4 ounces before cooking.

Tasting Table author Brendan McGinley, whose review SILive quoted, was fully on board. “I love Quarter Pounders now. They are the best,” he wrote.
He also said the plain version beats the bacon, double and deluxe editions of itself. His verdict on the Big Mac was less kind: “The Big Mac is no longer royale avec fromage. Long live the Quarter Pounder.”
The burger deal arrives alongside a new seasonal drink lineup that begins November 3, 2026, at participating restaurants. It includes three items:
The Frosted Cranberry Splash with Sprite is Sprite with orange and cranberry flavors, topped with cold foam and cranberry sprinkles. The Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer adds Red Bull to the cranberry flavor, cold foam and sprinkles, and comes with classic Red Bull or Red Bull Zero. The Cookie Butter Frappé, Latte and Iced Coffee come with caramel cookie crumbs and vanilla whip.
SILive reports McDonald’s has approximately 13,851 U.S. locations, most of them independently owned and operated by franchisees.
