WOMAN ALLEGEDLY FLASHED GUN OVER TACO BELL WAIT IN MARYLAND

A Maryland woman was arrested after allegedly flashing a handgun at a Chester Taco Bell over the wait for her food.

Ashley Andrews, 30, of Chester was arrested after Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the restaurant on June 18, 2026. The call was for a woman “displaying a handgun during a verbal altercation,” WJLA reported.

Employees told deputies Andrews got upset about how long her food was taking and began arguing with staff.

They said she told them to “meet her outside in the parking lot,” according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office also alleged she lifted her shirt to show a handgun and “used threatening language towards them.”

What the video allegedly shows

Deputies said surveillance footage and an employee’s cellphone video showed Andrews displaying the handgun and putting her hand on its grip.

WMDT reported that the restaurant is on State Street and that deputies found a loaded firearm on Andrews while she was detained. Fox News placed the Taco Bell in the Kent Town Market shopping center.

Deputies detained two people at the scene: Andrews and another person reportedly involved in the argument.

Taco Bell has also made headlines for a couple renewing vows on their 60th anniversary at Taco Bell.

The charges and what happened next

Andrews was charged with second-degree assault, handgun on person, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment, WMDT reported. The station described the charges as misdemeanors.

The sheriff’s office said Andrews was trespassed from the restaurant, meaning she is barred from returning.

WMDT reported she was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.

The New York Post and True Crime News also covered the arrest.

Andrews was represented by a public defender and invoked her right to a speedy trial, Fox News reported, citing Law&Crime.

A court appearance was scheduled for July 23, 2026. The charges have not been proven in court.
