WIFE SAID HUSBAND BOUGHT HER $50M ISLAND TO WEAR A BIKINI
A Dubai wife said her millionaire husband bought her a $50 million private island so she could feel safe in a bikini.
Soudi Al Nadak, 26, a British-born self-described “full time housewife,” was at the center of the story on September 28, 2024. Her husband is Dubai businessman Jamal Al Nadak.
Soudi posted an Instagram video showing off the island. She captioned it: “POV: You wanted to wear a bikini so your millionaire husband bought you an island.”
She explained the purchase to Hindustan Times.
“It was something we were looking to do for a while for investment and my husband wants me to feel safe on a beach which is why he purchased one,” she said.
She said the island is in Asia but declined to share its exact location for privacy reasons. She put the price at $50 million.
Who Soudi and Jamal are
Soudi said she and Jamal met while studying in Dubai. They married in 2021.
The Independent reported that her Instagram account had 336,000 followers and documented a lavish lifestyle. It includes a running series of videos titled “How much my millionaire husband spent on me this week.”
She has also posted about her wedding. “I had to marry outside my culture because I refused to pay on dates and I only accept gold as gifts,” she wrote.
How people reacted
The island video took off fast. Hindustan Times reported it passed 2.4 million views in less than a week.
One commenter wrote: “Does he have a brother? I ask for my friend.”
Not everyone was charmed. Hindustan Times reported that some viewers doubted Soudi’s claim was real.
Others went after the flex itself. The Times of India reported that some social media users called the purchase an unnecessary show of wealth. They suggested she could have used a different beach or a pool, given the money to charity, or made a wiser investment.
Some users also questioned whether the husband’s wealth could last, the Times of India reported.
