TECH ENTREPRENEUR AND FAMILY DIED IN FLORIDA LEARJET CRASH

Texas tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen, their two young children, the kids’ nanny and two close friends were among the nine people killed when their Learjet 60 went down in Palm Beach County on November 1, 2026, sources close to the family told TMZ, according to the New York Post. The NTSB said evidence indicates the jet may have started breaking up before it hit the ground in the deadly Florida Learjet crash.

The $2 million jet was flying from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. The New York Post described Robinson as a multimillionaire tech entrepreneur, and said the plane nosedived.

The Florida Times-Union identified Helen as Helen Sharp, 40, citing her father and Robinson’s father. Robinson’s father, Theodore, 77, confirmed his son’s identity to the paper, but said authorities had not yet formally notified the family.

Two pilots were aboard. The New York Post identified the co-pilot as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, a Florida-based pilot who got her license while still in high school. The pilot was identified as Jeff Gregory, 55, an experienced pilot from Pennsylvania.

The crash happened at about 12:50 p.m. ET, according to officials cited by USA Today. The site is less than 10 miles from President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

The jet came down near a mobile-home park. NBC 6 South Florida reported that about 600 residents of the nearby community were affected by evacuations. CNN reported no injuries on the ground.

According to NTSB records cited by CNN, it is the second-deadliest plane crash in the United States in 2026. Only a skydiving-plane crash in Butler, Missouri, in June 2026, which killed 12 people, was deadlier.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating. USA Today reported that the NTSB said the cause remains under investigation, and that investigators will review maintenance records, weather and any recovered flight-recorder data. The NTSB plans to issue a preliminary report within 30 days, CNN reported, and its final report on the probable cause could take one to two years.

The jet’s last moments were captured in final audio from the aircraft, which we covered on the day of the crash.
