First, they came for the side parts. Now, Gen Z wants to take our skinny jeans. I can only assume that young people feel they can’t compete with my sexy fat a**.
Just kidding. Teenagers are cool and scary. If they say baggy, formless clothing is the fashionable thing to wear, I’ll keep my mouth shut and cut armholes out of a potato sack. That’s why I’m so impressed by the brave souls going on TikTok to fight back against the skinny jeans ban.
Just look at what these youngsters say about millennials on there:

TikTokers are mean!
Young people are often right about what’s new and should be embraced, but there is something to be said for the wisdom of age.
There have been some excellent defenses of skinny jeans from the elders of TikTok, like @sharen_K, who explained she just isn’t showing everything she’s got to offer in baggy pants, sorry:
Some people are still processing the news, though I think @kloux00 is doing so sarcastically:
I haven’t seen a lot of convincing reasons why baggier pants are good and skinny jeans are bad, it’s mostly just teenagers asserting that baggy pants are “swag” which is maybe all they need to say:
I mean, if I’m gonna argue for the opposition, I’d say baggy clothes can be more comfortable…on the other hand, skinny jeans are often stretchy when I need them to be, like right after eating a huge bowl of chili.
I’m kind of beginning to think that they’re just trolling older people with random fashion Dos and Don’ts. Because people are mad:
You don’t bring up fupas if you’re not feeling a little salty.
If you want to get really pissed off, watch this TikTok about how the word “selfie” is canceled:
You can’t win, so don’t even try.
