WOMAN CALLED OUT SICK, WOKE TO BOSS AT THE FOOT OF HER BED
A worker who called in sick woke to find her boss in her bedroom, waving from the foot of her bed, she said.
Mish, who posts on TikTok as @mishyymbabyy, told the story in a video that was being passed around online by March 11, 2024. She said her restaurant job was about a 15-minute trip from home.

“I had a stomach bug and I decided to call out of work that day,” Mish said in the video.
She said she spoke to her boss and he agreed she could take the day off.

How it unfolded
Mish said she shared a house with a roommate. His bedroom was downstairs and hers was upstairs.
After telling her roommate she was sick, she went back to bed, she said. Bored Panda reported that the roommate then went outside to smoke, play guitar and sing so she could sleep.

Mish said she believed he left the door unlocked because he was right outside.
Then her boss showed up, she said. By her account, he told her he knocked, got no answer, tried the unlocked doorknob and walked in.
She said he claimed he called her name, and when he did not see or hear her, he went upstairs.
“That’s when I woke up and he’s standing at the foot of my bed, kind of waving at me,” Mish said.
“I literally thought I was having a fever dream,” she said.
She said her boss offered to drive her in. “Hey, hey, I know that you called out, but maybe you just don’t wanna drive, and I’ll drive you in, and then you could still work,” he said, in Mish’s telling.
Mish said she shut that down. “This is not okay, you need to get out of my room. I’m not coming into work,” she said she told him.
She said he left. Her roommate saw the boss leaving but did not realize Mish had not invited him, she said.
What happened next
Mish said she was laid off or fired several weeks later. Bored Panda reported that she blamed her ex-boyfriend, who she said harassed her and called the restaurant. She also said her boss thought she had egged the restaurant building.
LADbible also reported that Mish said she was falsely blamed for egging the restaurant. The Daily Dot focused more on the ex-boyfriend’s harassment.
Mish did not call police and said she wished she had, though she doubted they could have done much, Bored Panda reported.
Commenters urged her to sue or call the police, according to the same outlet.
The video took off. Outlets put its views anywhere from more than 190,000 to more than 6.7 million, depending on when they counted.
She later claimed she lost her job several weeks after the incident amid issues involving her ex-partner, IGV reported on October 17, 2026.
