BURGER KING WORKER WORE BLACKFACE AT DRIVE-THRU ON HALLOWEEN
A white Burger King employee worked the drive-thru on Halloween with dark makeup covering her face, and a video shows her defending it as a costume. Burger King says the franchisee that runs the restaurant is now addressing the incident with the employee and her manager, after the video spread online, according to TMZ.
In the clip, the customer confronts the woman about her appearance. She does not back down. Her explanation, as quoted by ABC 6 News, was: “I’m just black today.”
TMZ reports she argued that blackface is fine “as long as you have a good heart.”
The customer then asks whether she supports Black Lives Matter. According to The Independent, she answers: “Well no, I just wanted to be black.”
The video was recorded on October 31, 2026, and drew heavy backlash online. ABC 6 News reported that online posts identified the restaurant as one in Faribault, Minnesota.
Burger King, which The Independent says operates more than 19,000 locations in more than 120 countries and U.S. territories, responded in a statement. “We are aware of the video and take the matter very seriously,” the company said.
