CHRISTIAN STYLES, 29, AUTOPSY CITED ALCOHOL, MITRAGYNINE
The Christian Styles autopsy pointed to alcohol and mitragynine toxicity in the death of the adult-film performer at 29.
Styles, whose legal name was Zachary Jaghab, died on August 20, 2026. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his death, and the initial report said the cause and manner were not yet available, TMZ reported.
His family turned to a GoFundMe to cover funeral and burial costs. They called his death a “sudden and heartbreaking loss,” PEOPLE reported.
The fundraiser remembered him as “an adored uncle, family member, and dear friend to many.”
Who Styles was
Styles was an adult-film performer and content creator who started working in adult entertainment in 2021. He had more than 1 million followers across Instagram and X and made content for OnlyFans.
AVN reported that he was a gay performer based in the Detroit metropolitan area. Metro Weekly reported that he was born in Canton, Michigan, and raised in the state. It also reported that he had accounts on OnlyFans and JustFor.Fans.
Metro Weekly reported he was survived by his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
His parents were identified as Johnny and Ellen. The fundraiser said they “are also carrying their own serious health struggles, including cancer, making this season even more overwhelming.”
What police said
Canton Township Police Chief Joseph Bialy told TMZ that officers responded to Styles’ residence after a report of a “non-responsive adult male.”
Bialy confirmed that Styles’ family contacted police. He did not say who found Styles.
Canton Township police opened a death investigation with the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. The office took custody of the body for an autopsy.
Farewell in Livonia
A visitation and funeral service were planned for August 25, 2026, at the Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Livonia, Michigan, Attitude reported. Burial was to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park.

What the autopsy found
On September 15, 2026, PEOPLE reported that the Wayne County Medical Examiner attributed Styles’ death to alcohol and mitragynine toxicity.
The toxicology report gave a blood alcohol concentration of 0.168% and a blood mitragynine level of 87 ng/mL. Mitragynine is the active ingredient in kratom, TMZ reported.
The medical examiner wrote that the combined use of alcohol and mitragynine “increases the risk for sudden death.”
