“TikTok told me I might have cancer, and it seems like they were right,” he said in his latest post from Aug. 20. He explained that he received direct messages with comments about the size of his thyroid, and after going to a doctor, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Luckily, he is now in recovery after having the nodule removed—and feeling pretty grateful.

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time online viewers have noticed a swollen thyroid. A guest on Beachfront Bargain Hunt had a “large thyroid mass” according to a surgeon who was watching the show. The guest ended up being treated for thyroid cancer.

And Flip or Flop‘s Tarek El Moussa was informed by a nurse who watched the show that he looked like he had a large nodule. El Moussa was subsequently diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
