A Maryland police department sent out word on March 30 that it’s still investigating a case of a woman who pulled a gun on an underage skateboarder in a traffic altercation caught on video.
The video, shared by the Montgomery County Department of Police, shows a traffic incident that took place on Jan. 16 in downtown Silver Spring.
The police department did not say how they obtained the footage but showed stills from it on YouTube.
According to the police’s report, officers came to the scene and determined that “a male juvenile victim was skateboarding with friends when he became involved in a verbal dispute with a passing motorist. The motorist stopped and exited her vehicle, and the two began arguing in the street. A crowd began to form.”
The report went on to note that “one of the female suspects approached the juvenile victim and interjected herself in the dispute. The second female suspect went to a red Volvo that was parked in the area and drove it close to the dispute. She then gave a handgun to the first suspect, who used it to threaten the victim.”
They also noted that people at the scene recorded the incident on their cell phones.
TMZ’s report on it noted that neither woman fired the weapon and no one was injured in the incident, but that it is still being investigated as a possible first-degree assault with a handgun.
