In the magazine issue, which features statements from a number of celebrities on what they believe to be at stake in this election, Swift says that she believes Biden and Harris will give America the “chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs.”

“The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included,” she said. “The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them.”

While the “betty” singer is clearly taking the election seriously, she also opted to have a little bit of fun with settling in to watch last night’s debate, and shared a photo of custom Biden/Harris 2020 cookies she presumably made for the festivities.

The endorsement prompted swift responses from both Biden and Harris, who opted for overt references just as basic as the one in this very sentence.

While Biden (or his social media person) is clearly out here stanning Reputation, Harris pivoted back to 1989, noting that “voting never goes out of style.”

Despite Taylor’s endorsement to her millions of fans, we aren’t out of the woods just yet. All the 18+ Swifties have to actually got to get out to vote to fulfill her dream of ushering out the last (not-so-great) American dynasty, so we can shake the disastrous results of this administration and their lackluster coronavirus response off once and for all.
