Rudy Giuliani Caught With Hand In His Pants In Borat 2, And Twitter’s Got Jokes

Once again, the most absurd series of events possible has happened in the year 2020. The original Borat, starring a mustachioed Sacha Baron-Cohen, came out in 2006, so of course, it’s about time for Borat 2. The second film is to be released on Amazon Prime and has created quite a stir already, mainly for an extremely uncomfortable scene where it appears former mayor and current Trump crony Rudy Giuliani is fondling himself.

The Borat character and Baron Cohen are infamously chaotic, so even describing what happens in the scene sounds insane, but it all boils down to Guiliani being in a hotel room with Borat’s “daughter” Tutar, played by 24-year-old Maria Bakalova. Guiliani obviously doesn’t know this is an actress who is pretending to be a teenager. It’s unclear if he thinks she’s a teenager when he shoves both hands down his pants and starts fondling himself:

At this point in the film, Borat bursts in and insists his daughter is “too young” for Guiliani, and offers his own body for the politician’s pleasure.

Rumors about the incident started circulating in July, because Guiliani called the police on Baron Cohen, not realizing who he was dealing with until later.

“This guy comes running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit,” Giuliani told the New York Post. “It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive.

“This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shakedown, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away.”

Since nothing Borat did was technically a crime, no further action was taken.

“I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron-Cohen,” said Guiliani. “I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”

Dude. He definitely got you.

People were quick to point out that if Rudy could so easily be conned into a compromising position by an actor, that says a lot about the entire Trump administration. Though many just enjoyed yet another episode of “why is this happening.”

I’d say nothing can top this, but that’s obviously not true. 2020 keeps going bigger.
