I don’t know why Paul Rudd doesn’t age, but I’m okay with that. And now the 51-year-old actor is using his ageless-ness to promote mask-wearing. Rudd is starring in a new public service announcement playing a 26-year-old Millenial and telling American to be a “bae” and wear a mask.
Rudd filmed the video at the urging of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo as part of the “Mask Up, America” campaign. In the video, which has gone viral, Rudd wears a yellow hoodie, carries a skateboard, and uses the slang of people I’m pretty sure are younger than Millenials. It’s okay, Rudd is still charming.

“I was talking on the iPhone with my homie, Gov. Cuomo, and he’s just going off about how us Millennials need to wear masks because, get this, apparently a lot of COVID is transmitted by us Millennials,” Rudd says.
“So Cuomes asks me, he’s like, ‘Paul, you’ve got to help. What are you, like, 26?'” Rudd says in the video. “And I didn’t correct him. So, fam, let’s real-talk. Masks, they’re totally beast. So, slide that into your DMs and Twitch it.”
So Paul Rudd basically became the much cooler version of the Steve Buscemi “fellow kid” meme from 30 Rock ???? pic.twitter.com/X74VpeJ6oP

Cuomo spoke about the PSA and thanked Rudd for his participation.
“This nation is still battling the COVID-19 pandemic and young people are not immune from it. We all need to do our part and wear a mask. Thanks to Paul Rudd for helping us spread this crucial message and reach young people like him.”
The video was produced in partnership with Rudd and Evans in coordination with Jane Rosenthal, producer and chief executive officer of Tribeca Enterprises. Others celebrities that have participated in the mask campaign include Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal.
On Twitter, folks chimed in to reiterate Rudd’s message about the importance of wearing masks and also praise the never-aging actor.
