“Smear Campaign” Against Biden And Son Backfires On Social Media, Leaked Texts Show Joe’s A Loving Dad

President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Guliani, and his team apparently tried to take Joe Biden out of the 2020 presidential race using some leaked alleged text messages between Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. The ploy was apparently supposed to make him look weak and like a terrible dad, but it actually had the complete opposite effect on social media, at least for everyone except conservatives.

Hunter’s battle with substance abuse has been public and he has since gone to rehab for addiction issues. While he was at the facility seeking help, his father texted him at 6:57 a.m. saying, “Good morning my beautiful son. I miss you and love you. Dad.”

The New York Post wrote about the alleged text messages in an article that faced a lot of backlash on social media and was called part of an attempted “smear campaign” by Joe Biden. The Post used the headline “Texts show raw, intimate exchange between Joe and Hunter Biden.”

As the texts began to go viral on social media, people criticized the Post for publishing the article.
