Comedian Greg Larsen wanted to point out how you could use conservative logic to defend anything, so he created a Twitter thread defending the most terrible people throughout history.
The thread was in response to hearing conservatives defend truly vile people over and over again. Case in point: Donald Trump’s “very fine people” comment after white supremacists marched at Charlottesville, VA.
People were up to Larsen’s challenge. And Larsen delivered. Here he is defending Charles Manson:

Larsen defended whatever Twitter users threw at him. Including fictional villains.
Why limit yourself to fictional, though, when there are tons of real-life baddies to choose from.
He even gave Hitler a second defense.
Naturally, things started to get out of control in the most hilarious way.
Apparently, the viral tweet got under some conservative voters’ skin, so Larsen made sure to clarify for those offended:
