News recently broke that SpaceX settled a claim of sexual misconduct against Elon Musk for $250,000.
Insider broke the story on Thursday and shared that a flight attendant working on SpaceX’s corporate jet accused Musk of “exposing his erect penis to her, rubbing her leg without consent, and offering to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage,” wrote Insider.
She was also encouraged to get a massage therapy license so she could massage Musk on their flights.
The incident is said to have taken place in 2016 and the settlement was paid out in 2018. The details of the Insider story are taken from a declaration signed by the attendant’s friend that was prepared to support the attendant’s claim. There are other documents, including emails, that were shared with Insider by the friend.
According to reports, the attendant confided in the friend that she was encouraged to get her massage license and was propositioned.
Space X Vice President of legal, Christopher Cardaci, said, “I’m not going to comment on any settlement agreements.”
Musk took to Twitter and called the accusations “wild” and “utterly untrue.” He also told Insider, “If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light.”
Musk also tweeted that the article was likely politically motivated due to his decision to try to buy Twitter and embrace Republican Party politics.
The day before the story broke, and after he had been contacted by the reporters, Musk tweeted that he was becoming a Republican and that there would be a “dirty tricks” campaign against him.
A fact that makes the “political attacks” cover seem… extremely suspicious, as several people pointed out.
