A 71-year-old man was charged with causing a public disturbance after trying to stop a group of people painting a crosswalk with the Pride rainbow. As a bonus, he has also gone viral for his naked homophobia after a video of his behavior was posted by u/Goetzilla22 on r/PublicFreakouts, the Daily Dot reports. It’s really quite a performance, made especially notable because of his cowboy get up.
The man seems to have interrupted a group of LGBTQ+ folks and friends painting a crosswalk on Broadway Avenue in Saskatoon. The crosswalk is still drying, and it seems like the cowboy homophobe wants to make sure their work gets ruined by dragging away all the sawhorses.
He doesn’t get very far, because the fairly mild-mannered crew are able to stop him with a firm grip on their work tools. They also try to inform him that they have the city’s permission for the project, not that he cares.

Instead, he tells them that they “don’t own this f-cking property.”

He is happy to be filmed up close, or so his forced laugh tells us. He gets up in the camera’s screen and calls them a “bunch of a–holes.”

Eventually, a cop does show up, and based on his foot up posture, Cowboy thinks the officer will be on his side, because he doesn’t like “what is going on.”

He was still charged and released on an appearance notice.
Pride month does seem to bring the weirdoes out of the woodwork, but they’re not usually dressed up like old timey prospectors. This man will be famous for his horrible behavior for a long time.
