On Monday evening, a topless photo of 16-year-old Claudia Conway appeared on Twitter, seemingly posted by her mother, Kellyanne Conway, in her Fleets. Fleets are similar to Instagram stories, designed to disappear within 24 hours.
VICE reports that screenshots of the image show Claudia in a bathroom and are labeled as being from January 4th.
The image appearing on her mother's account would be concerning under any circumstances, but the past few months, Claudia has been posting disturbing TikToks about her mother's abuse, even sharing secret recordings of Kellyanne to TikTok.
Some people are calling the photo's appearance "revenge porn" enacted upon Claudia by her own mother.
In the videos below, Claudia is finding out about the photo circulating on Twitter from her TikTok followers. She asks them to report it if they see it. She says that her mom often takes her phone, and she thinks she photographed the topless photo to "use against" her own daughter later.
She does say that thinks it was posted by accident or her mom's phone was hacked, but that still doesn't justify her mom having the picture. She says she has never sent the image to anyone.
"So Kellyanne, you’re going to f--king jail," she says.
YouTuber Tana Mongeau shared a recorded livestream of a FaceTime call with Claudia on Instagram Monday night, which appears to capture an argument between Kellyanne and Claudia. The teen can be heard asking her mother about the photograph, and Kellyanne is heard calling Claudia a "phone addict" and "mentally ill."
"You’re wrong. It is nowhere. They don’t see it. You don’t see it. It is nowhere. You’re making this up to be a big shot," says Kellyanne. The call ends with the arrival of a police officer.
These TikToks have been deleted from her account, but other users have been screenshotting comments Claudia has been leaving on other posts about the pic in Morse code that translates to messages asking for help:
By Tuesday morning, Claudia had deleted the TikToks above, and posted a retraction, saying, "I have faith, and I know that my mother would never put something like that on the internet...my mom and I, we fight like mothers and daughters, but we also love like mothers and daughters, and I do love her."
Her father, George Conway, shared it on Twitter:
The situation at the Conway house is worrying to say the least, and Claudia herself has said that her parents are too powerful for her to be helped by the local authorities. If her mother did deliberately post the image, who knows how far she'll go.
