The postpartum experience is no joke. Yes, you’re thrilled to have made it through pregnancy and have your adorable baby in your arms — but it’s also so difficult. Your hormones are all over the place, you’re not getting any sleep, your body still doesn’t feel like it belongs to you, and the anxiety of caring for your little one can be overwhelming.

Kylie Jenner is sharing her experiences six weeks postpartum, and they sound a lot like many women’s. Jenner, who recently welcomed her son, Wolf, got real on Instagram about how she’s been doing.

“This experience for me personally has been a little harder than with my daughter,” she said, referring to her firstborn Stormi, who is now four.

After a selfie of herself on an exercise machine, which she labeled “6 weeks postpartum,” Jenner added, “postpartum moms: that postpartum has not been easy.”
I mean, at 6 weeks I was personally not going near an exercise machine, but women are expected to do all the things even when they are still in recovery from creating a whole human being. It’s kind of outrageous.
“It’s not easy mentally, physically, spiritually, it’s just crazy,” Jenner continued. “And yeah, I didn’t just want to get back to life without saying that because I think we can look on the internet — for other moms going through it right now — we can go on the internet, and it might look a lot easier for other people, and put the pressure on us, but it hasn’t been easy for me.”

“We have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be ‘back,’ ” Jenner also said. “Not even physically, just mentally, after birth. So yeah, just sending some love. I love you guys!”
