MGK TURNED DOWN SINNERS AUDITION DUE TO USE OF THE N-WORD: ‘I HAVE A MIXED DAUGHTER AND HAVE TOO MUCH RESPECT FOR HER’

Machine Gun Kelly recently revealed that he turned down a potential role in the 2025 blockbuster film Sinners. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the musician and actor explained his decision to skip the audition for the Ryan Coogler-directed project.

The artist, also known as Colson Baker, stated that the script required his character to use a specific racial slur. He specifically noted that the “n-word” appeared in the audition materials for the role of a vampire.

Kelly described the character as a secondary vampire who appears in a house during a scene where a family is attacked. Industry reports suggest the role likely involved a character named Bert, who was eventually portrayed by actor Peter Dreimanis.

The film has achieved significant financial success since its release in April 2025. It has grossed over $45,000,000 at the domestic box office and more than $60,000,000 globally.

Despite missing out on the hit horror thriller, Kelly remains active in the entertainment industry. He expressed his desire to continue working in cinema and is preparing for the release of his latest album in August 2025.
