Audrey Berck has received one too many dick pic and has had enough. But instead of getting frustrated and furious, Audrey has used the dicks to create art.
“I have been receiving unsolicited dick pics since I was in high school, so for the last almost 10 years, but it really ramped up once I was single and had accounts on dating sites after college,” she said.
The idea came to her after Audrey went on a date with a guy who sent her a “short shorts problem”… see below.

“I’d gone on one date with this guy, and then later in the week, he sent me the photo the drawing is based on. It felt intrusive and disappointing, but for some reason, I saved it. My original thought was to draw it on pink paper, possibly as a commentary on the fragility of masculinity. Over the next couple of years, I continued saving various unsolicited dick pics, but I didn’t begin drawing them because the intention didn’t feel fitting.”

“In the summer of 2020, I was put into a situation by a male friend that, unfortunately, wholly lacked my consent. The police department did not continue the case, but this situation fueled my passion for women’s rights. It made me realize the voice that I can provide in the conversation of consent by using the talent I have and the reference material that is literally forced upon me,” she explained.
And so, the dick drawings began! When she mentioned the project to her friends, they told her they could contribute.

“I was overwhelmed with the response of gals asking if they could submit unsolicited pictures that they had received. This greatly increased the number and diversity of the pieces I was able to create for the show.”

“I believe that sending unsolicited dick pics can be a precursor to pushing the envelope of consent, and lack thereof, in other ways. It’s unnecessary, uncomfortable, and unwanted. Truly, why is it so hard to stop?”

Audrey added, “The artwork creates such a multifaceted conversation and is incredibly relatable to so many people’s experiences. I’ve noticed that the show was able to deliver the subject matter in a lighthearted way because it seems that most people are able to find comedy in penis drawings.”
She has donated a portion of her proceeds to the Friendship Home of Lincoln, an organization that supports survivors of domestic violence.
