Every pretty girl on earth has been there. You’re out with your friends, having fun. You’re cutting loose and blowing off steam. You may even be celebrating something. And there’s that one guy, drunk as a skunk, who just won’t leave you alone.
Most of the time, when this happens, women feel pressured to “manage” the drunk guy, no matter how obnoxious he’s being. Most of the time, it’s to prevent him from becoming aggressive or otherwise taking the focus off your good time with your friends.
One young woman, however, wasn’t having it. This happened to her recently, and she opted NOT to waste a large chunk of her night out pacifying a rude stranger. Rather, she calmly told him off—and then one of her friends, Silke, put the interaction on TikTok.
As of this morning, the video on @silkysmooth___’s page has approximately 2.5 million views.
As the text overlay accurately describes, Silke’s friend in the video is “the kind but straightforward friend we all need.”
The video begins after the woman has already told the man multiple times that she’s not interested. He has chosen to ignore the message, and keeps bothering her. Maintaining eye contact and a no-nonsense tone while she holds her drink aloft, she addresses him directly.
“I understand that you’re on drugs, but you’re being a bit of an @$$hole,” she tells him evenly. “So why don’t you take a lap.”
“Now,” another woman in the video adds sharply, when the man continues to make a drunken @$$ of himself by persisting further.
The video cuts out at this point, but they caught up with him later on in the night:
Silke’s line about taking a lap was maybe TikTok’s favorite thing that has ever happened.
And her “true alpha” energy wasn’t lost on anyone either.
Well done, Silke’s kind and straightforward friend!
