Ordering food when you’re absolutely hammered always seems like a good idea. It’s also a time when things can get really out of hand really fast.
Twitter user @SHRUG_EMOTICON2 shared an escalation between her friend and the DoorDash driver bringing her drunk order meal, and they went from strangers to friends in just a few texts.
"my friend drunk texting the doordash driver i’m lmfao," they wrote. It should be noted these texts start at around 2:34 am, so you know they were lit.
"I love u," texts the friend.
"Hi, this is DoorDash connecting you to your Dasher for updates about your oder," they respond, "Love you too."
"u r my soulmatr," writes the friend.
"Really," says the Doordash driver.
"yes," they insist.
"Im glad to know that."
"Whats goin on over there," asks the friend, I assume referencing the meal.
"Long ass line," the driver says.
"its okay just hold on i cant wait to see u."
It's now 2:43 am.
They later added a second tweet that seems to imply things got much more sexual with the DoorDash driver later on...but maybe these thirst traps are unrelated.
People found the messages very funny and they could relate. It seems like everyone is having strange late-night chats with the people bringing them their takeout.

Be careful out there when ordering food, you never know who you are inviting to become your new best friend and/or enemy.
