There are people who aren’t into the idea of marriage, and then there are people who’ve been dreaming of their wedding day since they were kids. This bride seems like she falls in the second category, but her day was almost ruined because she kept focusing on insignificant things.
In a recent TikTok video, a woman named Alena revealed that she was uninvited to her friend’s wedding because of how she looked in her dress.
The video, which has over seven million views, starts out on a train ride. As the train is moving, text began to appear on the screen saying: “My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me.”
Alena then added that despite being removed from he guest list, she still took some “fire pics” in the dress.
The German model shared several snaps of herself posing in a gorgeous dress, after being told she could no longer attend the wedding.
There’s absolutely no denying that Alena looked stunning in the gown, but is that enough of a reason to ask one of your oldest friends to stay away from one of the biggest days of your life? According to the wife-to-be, it was totally justified.
And what makes the situation even more strange is that the bride actually picked out Alena’s dress. The bride decided the dress was appropriate for her friend but eventually changed her mind.
After viewing the video, many TikTok users showered Alena with support. Some questioned why the bride would choose a dress she wasn’t comfortable with, while others complimented Alena on her flawless appearance.
There were even users who insisted they would want all their friends to look their best if they were in a similar situation.
“I’d expect all my friends to look this good at my wedding….sounds like a confidence issue on the brides part,” one person wrote.
“As your friend, she should want you to look beautiful. If she was secure and confident, she wouldn’t feel intimidated at her own wedding. So sad,” another added.
