Briana and Brittany Deane are a pair of twins who have been featured on TLC’s reality show Extreme Sisters, Insider reports, a program where siblings try to prove they’re the weirdest and most intense siblings of all. There is far more competition in this arena than there should be, and the Deane sisters are definitely champions. And it takes a lot of work, which they do together.

“More often than not, it’s very much a joint effort,” Brittany said. “I think that because we have the same brain, we will both wake up thinking, ‘OK, I want to wear X outfit today,’ or whatever the event is that we have going on that day.”

It was their dream to keep the super twin life going forever, but they eventually had to grow up a bit. They started dating… other twins.

“So often, we were in relationships with singletons who didn’t understand our twin sister bond,” Brittany said. “I think there was some underlying stress that if one of us got too serious with a singleton guy, then it would ruin this dream we had, which was always our hope, even though others told us it was unrealistic.”

Then they met Josh and Jeremy. Don’t get confused: Brittany married Josh and Briana married Jeremy. From there, they simply planned to have babies at the exact same time. Thankfully, neither one gave birth to twins though that is obviously what they wanted.

However, due to the unusual paternal and maternal lines of two sets of twins, babies Jett and Jax are genetically brothers—or quaternary twins.

Their big claim to fame is that they do co-parent, which means sometimes the moms switch off breastfeeding each other’s babies. It’s a bit strange, but honestly not as strange as exclusively dating other twins. Just glad it worked out for everybody!
