After Kanye West used a racial slur against Trevor Noah, the comedian has taken the high road in his response.

“Damn, here we go again,” Noah began in the comment section of West’s now-deleted post referring to the host as a “k**n.”
The host of The Daily Show explained that he had much respect for West as a musician and that West’s work has affected his life in positive ways.
“I thought differently about how I spent my money because of you, I learned to protect my child-like creativity from grown thoughts because of you, sh*t I still smile every time I put on a seatbelt because of you.”

Noah added that it “breaks my heart to see you like this,” referring to West’s behavior as of recent — harassing his ex-wife and her boyfriend as well as acting in distressing ways.

“I don’t care if you support Trump and I don’t care if you roast Pete. I do however care when I see you on a path that’s dangerously close to peril and pain.”
“I’ve woken up too many times and read headlines that about men who’ve killed their exes, their kids and then themselves. I never want to read that headline about you,” Noah added.
He went on to praise West’s musical genius and share how the producer’s work has affected his life in a screenshot captured by TMZ.

Noah also addressed West’s use of the racial slur “k**n”: “Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree.”
TMZ captured the screenshots. West had attacked Noah after the comedian discussed his concerns about West’s behavior on The Daily Show. West was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours.
