A TikTok posted by a young woman under the handle @maceyyall is conjuring up some nightmares for anyone who was planning to buy jeans in a public place. This public place is supposedly Forever 21. In the TikTok, Macey is standing fully clothed and filming herself in the dressing room mirror, looking slightly disappointed with the world.
“A man attempting to record me in the dressing room,” she wrote over the short clip.

When the angle pulls back, you can see some of her discarded clothes and then under the adjoining wall a pair of feet propping up what looks like a small camera. The Converse are desperately clutching the recording device, and whoever is holding it must be standing with their face practically against the wall.

She pulled in for a closer look:

Macey turned off the comments on the video, and the Daily Mail reports she posted later that it was because people accused her of staging the viral moment.
That accusation was fueled because TikTok apparently removed her original post of the dressing room, which was viewed over 16 million times, but she posted the receipts to show she didn’t delete it herself:
Forever 21 is apparently investigating the incident, real or fake.
“Since March of this year, in compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures, and as part of our commitment to keeping our customers safe,” they told the Daily Mail. “Forever 21 takes the privacy of our customers very seriously and has absolutely zero tolerance for any inappropriate behavior in this regard.”
They continued, “We are committed to making Forever 21 an environment where everyone can feel safe in their shopping experiences and we are currently working with the appropriate authorities to investigate this alleged incident. As this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot comment further at this time.”
