Not long after leaving the internet stumped over her confession that she was selling her farts in jars, 90 Day Fiancé star Stephanie Matto announced her retirement from the peculiar hobby some have called a job. The reason? A fart-induced health scare.
Technically, it was overdoing it on beans and eggs to create the farts that left Matto heading to the hospital with what she thought might be symptoms of a heart attack.
“I thought I was having a stroke and that these were my final moments,” she told Jam Press. “I was overdoing it.”
After doctors ran tests to rule out something more insidious, Matto was put on gas suppressant medication and told to change her eating habits. In other words, what was briefly a surprisingly lucrative business is now nothing but a fart-filled memory.
Matto previously referred to herself as “the Einstein of fart jars” due to her success in “making the most in the least about of time, but also causing me the least amount of pain,” something no one ever thought would be compared to Einstein.
She allegedly made $200,000 before calling it quits, after just going viral with her unorthodox venture in mid-December.
The whole thing has left spectators with whiplash, and no short supply of comments.
Apparently, Matto is now switching gears to focus on creating NFTs of fart jars. “There has never been a more unique & iconic launch of digital fart art!” is something she actually said and we are actually reporting as news.
