Lux Pascal publicly announced that she is a trans woman on Tuesday and her brother Pedro embraced her news warmly.

Pedro posted a photo of the cover of the Spanish-language magazie Ya, which featured Lux and included a story about her transition. In the caption, The Mandalorian star gave all his love to Lux.
“Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” Pascal wrote. This translates to, “my sister, my heart, our Lux.”
In the interview, Lux stated that she began hormone treatments in July. She is currently studying acting at Julliard in New York City.
Translated from Spanish, Lux said in the magazine’s feature, “My transition has been something that’s very natural for everyone in my family. It’s almost something that they expected to happen.”
Lux revealed that Pedro “has been an important part of this. He’s also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.”
She first came out as trans to her brother over FaceTime. He asked how Lux felt and when she said she was happy, Pedro offered his congratulations and said the transition was “incredible.”

In the article, Lux said she had first come out as nonbinary to her family and that the move to say she is a woman came after some time.
“Moving through the world as a woman is much more simple for me, but I still advocate for nonbinary identities to have a space in society,” she expanded.
Lux hopes to bring positive representation to the trans community by being an activist.
She said, “We need trans activists who are good, smart, informed and who can be strong voices against transphobia, homophobia and racism.”
