TBH I’m not sure we need an entire news article or a professional comedian to understand why Elon Musk sucks, but hey: we have it!
Elon Musk has been in the news for all kinds of stunts lately. He brought a sink into the corporate offices to “let it sink in” that he had acquired Twitter. (Kill me) He also declared “comedy is now legal” right before banning parody accounts (I just…) and has tweeted incomprehensible nonsense under the guise of “kidding”.
Patton Oswalt, who is, in fact, actually a comedian, spoke with the Daily Beast‘s The Last Laugh podcast and explained why Musk is just so horrifically not funny.

“This is such an age-old story. It’s somebody who wants to be funny, and they’re not funny and not everybody can be funny. Not everybody can be a rocket scientist or a business magnate. Elon is a rocket scientist and a business magnate. Those are pretty great things, but he demands to be seen as funny and cool,” he said.
Oswalt said that he thinks Musk views “comedy the same way he sees money and status, whereas anyone who’s into comedy knows that comedy and [what’s] funny is constantly fluctuating.”

He also criticized Musk’s fanboys, calling them predictable. “When you say, “My god, he’s not funny,” they’re like, “Dude, he is rich.” I didn’t say he was poor, I said he’s not funny,” Patton explains. He also notes that they quickly back up any criticism with “you’re just jealous”.
You can’t “solve for ‘funny'” to “forever be the funniest one”. That’s “not how it works in comedy”, explained Oswalt.
Oswalt’s newest role is as a desperate dad who tries to impersonate a gorgeous woman on social media to catfish his son in I Love My Dad.
His interview with The Last Laugh covered finding humanity in his character and why he would never shell out eight bucks (same buddy) for a blue check mark.

One of the questions asked of Oswalt in the interview was “How are you enjoying our new free speech paradise that we’re all living in now that Elon Musk has taken over?”
Patton joked that “it’s so good to see the N-word coming back”.
