Nick Cannon claims he’s finished with having kids…for now, but that may change in the future. Given his track record of the last year, though, it’s a bit hard to believe him.
Cannon was on a Billboard Live: R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event, where host Tetris Kelly asked a laughing Cannon if he was planning to grow his brood even further. The comedian told him, “I don’t know, man. I have no idea. I think I’m good right now!”
Prior to 2022, the comedian and television host had only seven kids, but by the end of the year, that number will have nearly doubled at 12, once model Alyssa Scott gives birth to his most recent child.
Cannon called his children his “number one priority, obviously” when talking to Billboard News, adding, “I wake up being a father thinking about my kids and everything else comes after that.”
Before the slew of pregnancy announcements rolled in, Cannon had spoken to trying out a vow of celibacy — which obviously didn’t work out for him — that was recommended by his therapist. That was when his eighth child, with Bre Tiesi, was on the way.
Tiesi gave birth to Legendary Love Cannon in June, then Lanisha Cole gave birth to a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, in September. Model Brittany Bell gave birth to his tenth child, Rise Messiah, just nine days later on September 23.
Just a little over a week ago, radio host and DJ Abby De La Rosa gave birth to Cannon’s eleventh child, Beautiful Zeppelin Cannon, their third child together after twins Zillion and Zion, and Alyssa Scott recently revealed that she is expecting Cannon’s twelfth child. Scott and Cannon had a son together last year, Zen, who sadly died at five months old due to brain cancer.
Cannon also has children with ex-wife Mariah Carey, 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, and two other children with Bell, 5-year-old Golden and 1-year-old Powerful Queen.
