Last weekend, Madonna announced via her Instagram that work on her upcoming biopic has begun.
The film, which the singer will be co-directing and co-writing, was announced officially last September, and has been described as a “visual autobiography.”
While fans of the singer-songwriter are excited for the film, the vast majority of them were distracted by Madonna’s youthful appearance in the photos she shared, in which she looked much younger than her 63 years—some even went so far as to say that she looked like a teenager!
“Tryin to Make a Movie…………….It’s Really Hard! 🎬🎥🥊🖤 Wouldn’t Have it Any Other Way!”
The Undisputed Queen of Pop is currently holding auditions for the film, which will tell the story of her life.
On February 16, she posted a video of her dancing along to her hit song Burning Up along with the caption, “Auditions for my film are a Surreal experience🎬🎥 But I’m enjoying Dancing to the Classics!! 🔥🔥🔥” Madonna has also shared a couple of actresses she thinks would be perfect to portray her in the film, including “Black Widow” actress Florence Pugh.
In October, Madonna shared photos to her Instagram account when writing on the script was near completion. In a number of the photos, the 63-year-old can be seen lying on a rug in front of a fireplace, poring over the script.
The caption on the post read, “Grateful for the success of Madame ❌, that my script is almost finished, and for the support of my beautiful children! While laying on this gorgeous Rug by Alexander McQueen! 🖤 👠🧨🔥🧨❌”
Diablo Cody, who won an Academy Award in 2007 for Best Original Screenplay for Juno, is reported to be working on the project.
