Here we are again, discussing Lizzo’s eating habits and weight; I really wish we’d all just leave the woman alone, but she’s taken to the internet once more to defend herself.

She said she is not a vegan in order to lose weight; instead, she does it because it makes her feel good.

She recently told Vanity Fair that she leads “a very healthy lifestyle” and that her health is important to her.

“I try to keep everything I put in my body super clean,” Lizzo said.

People believe that Lizzo went vegan in 2020; she mentioned “being plant-based and vegan” on a TikTok and has shared her diet over the years.

She eats kale salads, onions, beans, corn, avocado. She also enjoys Korean rice cakes with a mushroom and carrot sauce, vegan cheese and chocolates, and so on.

But, she says, the change did not come from a desire to lose weight.

“Health is something I prioritize, wherever that leads me physically. Like veganism, people were like, ‘You’re a vegan? What, are you deep frying the lettuce?’ I’m not a vegan to lose weight, I just feel better when I eat plants,” she told Vanity Fair.

She admitted that she stress eats and doesn’t notice how much she consumes.

“Anything can be harmful, but it comforts me in a way,” she said.

“I try to keep everything I put in my body super clean,” she told Vanity Fair.

In 2017, she told Nasty Gal that she was a vegetarian for seven years and a vegan for one before she hit fame. During that time in Minneapolis before her fame, she says she “really discovered my vegetarianism and my veganism there.”

As long as you’re happy, Lizzo, you keep doing what you’re doing!
