A serious Lizzo fan was in for a big shock after she posted a TikTok video asking Lizzo if she could wear one of the pop star’s dresses.
Aurielle Marie is a poet and author and TikToker. In October, after being named as one of Out Magazine’s Out100 (which recognizes notable folks from the LGBT+ community), she posted to TikTok.
She explained how hard it was to find a look that was “big bitch and red carpet ready”.
Marie said to Lizzo in the viral clip, “I know you know how it feels to be the biggest bitch in the room and all the scrutiny and hyper-visibility that comes with that because I’ve watched you talk about it. But the longer I go without something to wear, the less I want to be there.”
Then she asked Lizzo if she could borrow the Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown that Lizzo donned on the 2022 Emmys red carpet.
“So I said, let me make a little TikTok because you never know what can happen,” Marie continued. “Can I please, please, please wear your dress from the 2022 Emmys, please, which is my favorite!”

The gown was worn during Lizzo’s award for Outstanding Competition Program win for her Amazon series, “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” a show that details her hunt for backup dances.

On Tuesday, Marie followed up with another TikTok…
Lizzo had sent her a designer dress! It wasn’t the Emmys gown, but it was a similar one – the Dauxilly dress she wore on stage at the 2019 American Music Awards.
“Shut the f–k up!” Marie exclaimed as she bounced up and down in the dress.
Marie captioned the video, “i might’ve gotten a few tears on your dress @lizzo, my bad babe! Words dont suffice, and thank you isnt enough. But THANK YOU! I’m speechless. Y’all! A bitch is certified LIZZO SIZED!!!!!! And LOOK AT THIS GOWN! @Out Magazine here i come!”
