In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that 12-year-old Mason has been banned from eating McDonald’s french fries for over a year.
The interview was conducted to promote the launch of Kourtney’s new natural edible supplement company, Lemme, and she spoke to the interviewer about what she described as her “wellness journey,” which prompted her to shift her son’s unhealthy diet.
Kardashian said, “Today I was having my one-on-one time with my son [Mason] and he said, ‘Mom, I need McDonald’s french fries today, please. It’s been a year since I’ve had it.’ I was like, ‘Today’s not the day, sorry.'”
The reality star revealed that it was having children that really pushed her decision to eat healthier, saying, “When I had Mason is when I really started my wellness journey. He’s very smart. He’ll tell me, ‘A person was bad because they let me have Cheetos.'”
Mason is the eldest of three children Kourtney had with her ex-partner Scott Disick.

“Once I had kids was when I really bumped it up and started taking it more seriously,” she went on. “Nicole Richie really helped. She was one of my only friends who had kids before I did. She was like, ‘You have to buy this one book, “Super Baby Food,”‘ and it was all about making [your own] baby food. It taught me about organic products and, honestly, it changed my life on how I started eating. Then it was a snowball effect.”
Kardashian and now-husband Travis Barker got engaged in October 2021, and have had three wedding ceremonies this year. The first was unofficial, conducted by an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas, Nevada in April. Their legal ceremony was held just a month later in May in Santa Barbara, California, according to sources from People and TMZ. Finally, they held an extravagant and intimate ceremony with close friends and family in an Italian villa not one week later.
The reality star admitted that she isn’t sure if they will share the wedding footage (which one?) on The Kardashians, saying that they may keep the footage for themselves.
