Kourtney Kardashian is unimpressed with how the latest episode of “The Kardashians” was edited, to say the least.

The Poosh founder sat down to talk about the episode with her friend Stephanie Shepherd. Kourtney told Shepherd that while they were filming the proposal episode, she and now-fiancé Travis Barker were having “the best time ever” but in seeing the edits, they were left dissatisfied with the narrative editors decided to tell.

“We film and have the best time ever, and then we’ve been watching the edits and we’re just so annoyed because they’re swirling us in with this drama,” she said.

This is because the narrative was centered around Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, with whom she has three children: Penelope, Mason, and Reign. What was supposed to be a “fairytale” proposal night was turned to discussions of Scott and what his reaction to the engagement would be, rather than Kourtney and Travis’s engagement itself.

“Editors or whoever are taking it as, let’s take Kourtney as the chosen one to be the drama.”

“We are all executive producers, so we get to see cuts of the show and give notes on episodes and make sure that our stories are being told,” Kourtney explained of the situation. “I’m in one of the best places I’ve ever been in my life and it’s time for our show to catch up.”

Kourtney went on to say that the moment when sister Kendall Jenner brought Scott up was only “two seconds” of the night’s footage.

“I didn’t even remember it until I saw the cut of the episode,” she stated. “It’s enabling this old narrative and buying into something that doesn’t really exist. It should be an empowering episode about me getting out of toxic relationships and having this fairytale love story that is my reality.”

Kourtney said that the clip should have been removed from the episode and put in somewhere else to “respect” the couple’s “moment.”

Shepherd agreed with her friend and said, “This story for you is you were in a s*** relationship and now you’re in a great one. The great one should be focused on.”

“If I were someone watching the show, I would obviously be asking those same questions like, ‘what’s Scott going to say?’” Shepherd added. “I understand that’s a normal thought, but I think we were talking about, out of respect for Travis and you being able to come out of that place in your life, I don’t want to harp on this storyline anymore.”

Kourtney said that she’s moved on from Scott and ended by saying, “It’s all good. We’ve been broken up for seven years. I’m allowed to create new memories and new ways of doing things.”
