A TikToker that man, many people think is actually actor Keanu Reeves is, in fact, deep fakes.
Despite the VERY CLEAR name, @unreal_keanu, the account has tricked millions of users into believing that the account is either Reeves or a wildly close lookalike. It is, in fact, created entirely by artificial intelligence and even blatantly states as much on its Instagram page.

The account has forty one videos and shows dozens of people firmly believing it’s Reeves. One video, a digitally created Reeves shown dancing, has over 115 million views and has been flooded with supportive comments for the actor.

Bless their hearts.
“Congrats on the success…..and for being being the first person I intentionally followed on this platform…..keep it real and keep safe,” one viewer wrote.
A recent video with over 35 million views, people wonder if the video is fake or not.
“POV: you’re checking the comments to figure out if it’s a look alike guy or some kind of face swap filter,” said another person.
Of course, not everyone was fooled. In Thursday’s video, which has 13 million views and counting, commenters are making sure people know that the whole account is fake.
“Hope y’all know this isn’t real???…it’s cgi!!” said someone.
Other people, bless their hearts, said they only recently figured it out — and marveled at the similarities.
“How is this possible? I know that this is not Keanu, but the similarity…. Unbelievable!” said a viewer.
Others also admitted that they only recently learned about how the account uses deep fake. Deepfake technology is dangerous and on the rise — and it’s important to know how you can spot a deepfake as well as how a deepfake is created.

“Me finding out that he’s not the real Keanu Reeves,” one TikToker commented.
The account did not reply to The Daily Dot for comment.
