Kanye encouraged fans to scream at Pete Davidson in public if they saw him, something that Kim wasn’t happy about.
Kanye has had a very public beef with the Saturday Night Live comedian for dating ex-wife Kim Kardashian ever since rumors spread about the couple getting together back in October. Kim and Pete went public in November. Meanwhile, Kanye has posted publicly across social media platforms about his desire to get back together with Kim and reconcile their marriage—even during his fleeting relationship with model and actor Julia Fox.
Under a recent photo of Kim and Pete, Kanye wrote, “I DON’T HAVE BEEF WITH KIM. I LOVE MY FAMILY SO STOP THAT NARRATIVE IM NOT GIVING UP ON MY FAMILY.”
“I HAVE FAITH THAT WE’LL BE BACK TOGETHER. WE HAVE A PUBLIC RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE WE ARE PUBLIC FIGURES SO TO THE PUBLIC AND TO THE PRESS SOMETIMES PEOPLE CALL ME CRAZY BUT TO BE IN LOVE IS TO BE CRAZY ABOUT SOMETHING AND I AM CRAZY ABOUT MY FAMILY.”

Shortly after that in another post, Kanye added, “IF ANYONE LOVES ME AND MY FAMILY IF YOU SEE SKETE IN REAL LIFE SCREAM AT THE [LOSER] AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS AND SAY KIMYE FOREVER.”
For Valentine’s Day, Kanye posted a photo of a black pickup truck, the bed of the truck filled with red roses, presumed to be for Kim. White decals on the side of the truck spell out, “MY VISION IS KRYSTAL KLEAR.”
Meanwhile, Kim and Pete have chosen not to respond to Kanye’s very public statements, instead reaching out to the rapper privately.
Kanye, however, decided to post texts between himself and the couple publicly in since-deleted posts. The text messages are between Kanye and a number saved under the name “Kim Other Phone”. In the messages, what we can assume to be Kim calls out Kanye’s behavior on social media.
“U are creating a dangerous and scary environment. Someone will hurt Pete and this will be all your fault.”
Kanye posted the screenshotted texts along with a still from the 2001 movie Baby Boy that showed Ving Rhames holding Tyrese Gibson in a chokehold. The rapper tagged Kim’s Instagram account on Gibson’s face.

Kanye refers to Kim as his “wife” in the caption of the post, which reads, “UPON MY WIFE’S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF”
Shortly after Kanye posted this message, he shared yet more private texts between him and Kim, showing Kim thanking him for discouraging his fans from enacting violence against her boyfriend.

“Well thank you. There are dangerous people out there and this is scary and it doesn’t have to be.”
Another screenshot shows Kim questioning why he can’t keep their conversations private, to which the rapper replies, “I’m your number one fan. Why wouldn’t I tell everyone!!!”

Many are questioning Kanye’s use of social media, stating that what he is doing is harassment.
Since then, Kanye has apologized for the situation in a—for once—non-all-caps message on Instagram.

“I’ve learned that using all caps makes people feel like I’m screaming at them. I’m working on my communication. I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders. Thank everybody for supporting me.
I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be good leader is to be a good listener.”
