The internet has helped many people connect and build communities based on similarities, but it has also divided us.
In a recent TikTok video, user @desyr.reviews, sparked an interesting debate on how often bras should be washed.

Women from all over the world flooded the video’s comment section to share their own thoughts on the subject, and things got a little heated.
Desyr said she became curious to hear other women’s thoughts on bra washing, after finding out that her friend washed her undergarment once per year.

“My friend once told the group chat that she washes her bra just once a year,” she explained. “I’m curious. How often does everyone wash their bras? I need to know what the kind of standard is amongst women everywhere, what is the average.”
“What’s the most common bra washing duration because apparently we are not all the same.”
Of course, such a controversial topic attracted a lot of attention and alot of opinions. Many of the women responded to the video and admitted they washed their bras far more frequently. One person said, “I can’t stand any piece of clothing after I’ve worn it for a day.”
While another commented: “Depends on the weather! Summer every day, autumn/spring every other day, wither every three days.”

Some women took a more spontaneous approach, it could be a week, month, or year before their next wash.

Other women said they changed their bra every day but typically won’t wash until after a couple wears.

There were women who took the more situational “when it smells” approach.

And finally, some women jokingly questioned whether bras should be washed at all.

At least, we really hope they were joking.
