Amber Heard recently testified in her defamation trial that Johnny Depp slapped her across the face and punched her in the jaw after mistaking a body double for her.
The body double in question was performing a sex scene and, according to Heard, it sent him into a rage.

“I did not actually film the scene. He demanded that we watch it,” Heard said on the stand, adding, “So I have an incredibly jealous man who is already upset with me for breaking the ‘rule’ about participating in a sex scene. He was irate. He called me a liar and a whore.”
Heard said that the attack came at a remote French chateau and it quickly became violent.
He “slapped me in the face in the bedroom, in the chateau we were staying in.”

She continued, “At another moment, he punched me across the jaw. At one point he either pushed or threw…. I went flying into this old church furniture. I later thought I had a concussion.”
Heard says that this is another example of the violence Depp expressed during their short marriage.
Heard also said that she found a folder on Depp’s computer titled “No Fun For JD,” inside of which there were photos of her on assorted red carpets.

Heard says the abuse lasted for years and after her 30th birthday in 2016 it finally began to abate. She also said she befriended Elon Musk after being stood up by Depp at the Met Gala.

“I was standing in line right in front of gentlemen. It was Elon. I didnt recognize him until we started talking and he reminded me that we met once before. He was with his mother,” Heard testified. “We spoke on the red carpet. He seemed like a real gentleman; he was really nice. He sat at a nearby table, and we got to speaking that night and eventually, we became friends.”
Heard first made allegations of abuse in 2016 when she filed for divorce and accused Depp of abusing her during the marriage. The pair eventually agreed to an expensive settlement with clauses meant to protect both Heard and Depp after the breakup, Heard continued to speak.

While Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed did not call out Depp by name, the actor is suing her for libel over the piece. In the op-ed, Heard alleged that Depp verbally and physically abused her during the relationship. Depp is seeking $50 million in damages.
