Imagine your dad publicly shrugging and saying, “Can’t win them all” when asked about your estrangement from him.
That’s exactly what my least-favorite rich asshole did when asked about his estrangement from his daughter Vivian, who underwent a name and gender change four months ago.
What a tool.
Musk told The Financial Times that his daughter’s decision to distance herself from him was due to Neo-Marxists at school.
“It’s full-on communism and a general sentiment that if you’re rich, you’re evil,” Musk claimed.
He didn’t explain who he was talking about.
Musk shares Vivian with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson. They also have Griffin, 18, and Saxon, Kai and Damian, 16.
He has a son and daughter with Grimes and recently had twins with Shaven Zilis.
“I have very good relationships with all the others,” Musk said, referring to the rest of his children. “Can’t win them all.”
People on Twitter were suitably aghast as Musk’s dismissal. One said, “Omg Elon Musk blames his trans daughter cutting ties with him on ‘the neo-marxist takeover of schools’ holy shit lol”
Another wrote, “elon musk’s shtick as a whiny conservative makes a lot more sense when you realize it’s just because he’s mad his daughter won’t talk to him anymore.”
News that Vivian had filed to change her name and gender broke in June. She also requested that her last name be Wilson instead of Musk.
Her reasoning was: “gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father [Elon] in any way, shape or form.”
Musk kept quiet about the decision, but his ex-wife, Justine, seemed to tweet about a conversation with her daughter.
Justine wrote: “‘I had a weird childhood,’ my 18-year-old said to me. ‘I can’t believe I’m as normal-seeming as I am.'”
