When a troll went after Drake on Tuesday night, the Canadian rapper decided it was time to fight fire with fire and trolled him right back.

The exchange started after Drake commented on a post from NBA shooting coach @lethalshooter that was cheering on the supportive fathers of NBA players LeVar Ball and Tee Morant.

Drake commented his agreement with Lethal Shooter, saying, “Imagine your son makes the league and he’s Ja or Melo or Lonzo. All you can do is be elated and competitive and it’s a right of passage to that the OG’s talk shit. I know I’mma be this way even if my son is in a rubix cube competition.”

Instagram user @ceddybo_ybagnm decided to poke fun at the rapper’s comments, and posted a trolling comment he likely didn’t expect would be seen by Drake, let alone get any sort of response.

“Ya son prolly play with ghost writers,” he replied to Drake’s comment.

The rapper then found and followed the troll’s wife on Instagram after finding her tagged in one of his posts.

He even made a point to let the man and the world know he’d done it by replying, “I just followed your girl cause she’s prob miserable and needs some excitement in her life.”

Drake didn’t just follow the troll’s wife — he slid into her DMs while he was at it, telling her he was there for her if she needed someone. “I’m here for u ma,” Drake said in the message.

The troll and his wife are apparently amused by the turn of events and shared screenshots to their Instagram Stories.

In his Story, the troll captioned the screenshot of his DM with, “Oh nahhhhhh fool really DM’d my wife. I’m—” followed by a string of laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, his wife took it in stride and seemed to just find the whole situation more funny than anything else.

Not only that, but it appears that the couple is capitalizing on their 15 minutes of fame and are putting out a shirt with (almost) Drake’s DM on it.

Interestingly, this is the second time in about a week that Drake has followed strangers on Instagram.

On Monday, April 25, a video of a woman rapping Lil Baby’s “Wants and Needs” verse word-for-word went viral, and by Wednesday, Drake had found and followed her on Instagram. The woman, who goes by Brooklyn Staggss on social media, is also a fan of King Von, and posted another video from the same night to her TikTok saying, “Hire me to be your bridesmaid and I’ll make it fun :)”
