Sami Sheen — Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s daughter — announced recently that she had started an OnlyFans page, and her parents had very different reactions to the announcement.
Charlie wasn’t too thrilled with his 18-year-old daughter’s choice, and released a statement via his publicist, Jeff Ballard, insinuating that Sami’s mother was to blame for the move.
“I do not condone this, but since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity,” Charlie said in the statement. “She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not occur under my roof.”
Richards, a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, was not impressed with her ex-husband’s jab at her parenting and clapped back at him, saying that as an adult, their daughter was fully capable of making her own decisions.
“Sami is 18, and this decision wasn’t based on whose house she lives in,” Richards stated to Yahoo! Entertainment. “All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgement [sic], but she makes her own choices.”
Sami posted a teaser photo to her Instagram account on Monday, June 13 of herself in a black bikini leaning out of a pool. In the caption, the 18-year-old wrote, “Click the link in my bio if u wanna see more,” with a kiss emoji at the end.
Richards showed her support for her eldest daughter in a message left on the Instagram post, saying, “Sami I will always support you & always have your back. I love you. ❤️”
The mother and daughter have only recently mended their relationship after many months of estrangement.
In September of last year, Sami posted on her TikTok account claiming that her mother was abusive and caused her to become “insanely depressed.” The video was shortly made private, but some screenshots were captured by Page Six.
Then five months later, Richards did an interview with SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, where she discussed the “strained relationship” with her daughter.
“It’s very difficult. I know we’ll get back to where we were eventually but right now, it is strained.”
She went on to talk about her hopes for the future, and that with time she and Sami would connect again, which has since apparently come to fruition.
“But I think it’s very difficult raising teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles when there’s access to everything,” Richards explained. “We didn’t grow up with Postmates and Uber where you have everything that you want. There are certain rules and I enforce them. And [at Charlie’s], there’s different rules at that house and that’s OK.”
Richards and Charlie Sheen, who divorced after three years of marriage in 2005, also have a 17-year-old daughter, Lola Sheen.
