Rapper Kanye West returned to Instagram after a record few months of silence to respond to faux posts that had been shared on Twitter. The posts were made to imitate him and his rather unique style of writing, though as is typical of the rapper, his Instagram post has since been deleted.

The fake tweets and posts ranged from claiming that Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian had an excessive problem with diarrhea to the simple statement that “Friends wasn’t funny,” although Ye appeared to agree with that one, at least.

“I know you guys gonna be disappointed but I actually didn’t write the [tweet] that said ‘Friends wasn’t funny either,'” West wrote in the caption of his post. “But I wish I had. I’d love to know who thought of that. I like to post comments.”

Courteney Cox starred in Friends as Monica Geller, and it looks like she heard West loud and clear — and the actress chose to combat the criticism of the beloved show with comedy.

The 58-year-old actress posted an Instagram Reel featuring her presumably standing in her kitchen and listening to “Heartless” by Ye, doing a cute little wiggle-dance as she scrolls through social media when she comes across West’s post and stops. The Reel cuts to a close-up of the text of the post, and highlights the words “I actually didn’t write the tweet that said ‘Friends wasn’t funny either’ but I wish I had.”

Cox’s expression immediately drops and she walks off-camera, violently shutting off the rapper’s song as she leaves the kitchen. In the post’s caption, Cox wrote, “I bet the old Kayne thought Friends was funny ☹️”

Folks on Instagram found the video hilarious and told Cox she was showing “Big Monica Energy.” The likelihood of West responding to the actress’s video is low, but crazier things have happened.
