In the interview with Shondaland’s Mariel Turner, she asked the Captain America actor, “Is there anything in real life that you’ve been that laser-focused on?”

Chris was very quick to reply, leaning forward and telling Turner, “Okay, good question. Thank you for a good question. My goodness.”

He tilted his head down to think about the question for a moment before deciding on his response.

“You know what, we’re going to do this. I’m gonna give you a good answer,” he went on, stumbling slightly to find the right words. “And the answer would be that maybe [I’m] laser-focused on finding a partner, you know, someone that you want to live [with].”

“I mean, look, I love what I do. It’s great and whatever — I pour all of myself into it,” he added, not wanting to diss his career with his comments. “Even this industry is full of pockets of doubt, you know, hesitation, and recalibration. In terms of really trying to find someone that you really can pour all of yourself into, maybe it’s about trying to find someone that you’re looking to spend your life with. Yeah, so maybe that.”

The interviewer clearly thought that the idea was really sweet, and told Evans that the sentiment was “beautiful.”

This is especially true given that the actor tends to be on the quiet side about his relationships. The 41-year-old actor’s last public relationship was back in 2018 with actress and comedian Jenny Slate, and if he has dated anyone since her, it has most definitely been kept a secret.
