In 2006, Nelly had a breakdown on stage during a tour. She told the Daily Mail that she was exhausted. She decided she wanted to be home with her family and left the stage. She did release an album in 2009 and another in 2012; 2017’s The Ride is likely her final recording.

After Rush Hour, he took a break before playing in Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawerence, but after that he seems to have stepped back. He has said he declines roles due to his religion, so that may be a factor.

Renee Zellweger fell off the face of the Earth until she returned with a different face.


Zellweger, who starred in Bridget Jones’ Diary among other films, seemed to disappear in the mid 2010s. When she popped back up in 2014, people thought she had had plastic surgery. She is currently back in the limelight.

The American Beauty star disappeared after a 2001 film, Ghost World. She said she didn’t want to mold herself to Hollywood’s expectations and “pissed people off”. In 2010, she was fired from an off-broadway revival of Dracula, but she is currently portraying Gamma in The Walking Dead and Jess in 13 Minutes.

Tom from MySpace was everyone’s best friend at one point.


RIP MySpace, which couldn’t keep up with Facebook. Tom Anderson sold MySpace in 2005 and retired to Hawaii. He works now as a travel photographer.

The rumor on the street is that she had terrible stage fright while performing and really didn’t enjoy the limelight. Perfectly good reason to step back!

After being seemingly everywhere for a few years, Sobieski pulled away from acting roles. She told Us Weekly, “I am just focused on my kids. I think that’s mainly why I stopped … Also, ninety percent of acting roles involve so much sexual stuff with other people, and I don’t want to do that.”
