Being a little kid is sort of a trial and error situation. You’re willing to do a lot of stuff that you hopefully grow out of as an adult, like eating dirt. Eating dirt is actually less disgusting than a lot of the stories on this thread started by comedian Zach Broussard.
He wanted to know what horrible things people treated as a “snack” in their childhoods that they might be embarrassed to admit to now. Which means they would share it on the Internet.
“What was your weirdest snacking habit as a kid?” he asked. “I use to sit by the microwave while I watched TV and zap ONE M&M AT A TIME for like 3 seconds, creating the perfect little hot chocolate poppers.”
The answers are either totally revolting or somewhat inspiring, depending on your tastes. I will say I was totally shocked by how many people made “sandwiches” out of pre-chewed food. There was never a time as a kid where I would have considered doing that. As an adult? Still no.
