There are many categories of bad date stories out there. I’d say “awkward date” is a very different type of tale from “worst date,” even if there’s overlap. Awkward has way more opportunity to be funny, which Twitter user @NateIsBack2 must have known when he started his enormously viral and hilarious thread.
“What’s the most awkward date y’all every been on?” they asked.
Most of the replies are full of small things that went wrong in the funniest way possible, a few involve weapons, and many of them involved surprise kids. It’s almost enough to make me never go on a date again.
On the other hand, if we never go on dates, where will we have awkward encounters that haunt us for the rest of our lives?
