So, we all know Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are the new Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie. Their sexy love fest, complete with blood and knives and the color black, are giving us all nostalgia for simpler times. Let’s celebrate that love. After all, Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker) got stabbed for it.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Machine Gun Kelly told a story about accidentally stabbing himself while trying to show off to Fox when they first started dating.
The knife was a gift from friend Travis Barker and celebrated the release of MGK’s new album.
“Travis got me this knife that had an [engraving] from the new album on it, and I was like, ‘Check this out, this is sick,’ and I threw it up and it came and stuck in my hand,” Baker said, showing off the scar he still has.
He was too busy looking at Fox to catch the knife — and he eventually felt the sting: “The next morning as soon as she left, I was like, ‘Yo, I need stitches real quick.'”
What’s a little blood spilt for love? MGK wears Fox’s around his neck, according to an Instagram post from February.
“I wear your blood around my neck,” he wrote alongside a picture of a necklace containing a drop of Fox’s blood. He explained to Ellen DeGeneres that Fox gave him the blood when she was leaving to make a film in Bulgaria because he was unable to visit her and couldn’t bear the thought of being without her.
“I mean, some people give a handkerchief to their partner,” he said.
Handkerchiefs are so 1860. Go with the blood.
